Absolutely! There are sites upon sites online with doll restoration tips and step by step instructions! Two of my favorites are Doll Magic, and AG Playthings. The latter is not only a source for all things AG, but also a message board (on which you will find restoration tips and much, much more.)
Dear lord, this child…
Do you see what I have to put up with every day?
Suri Cruise has a McKenna!!
…among hundreds of other AG’s, I’m sure.
But still!
Ilona Szwarc is fascinated by the little girls who collect American Girl dolls. The result? An evocative series of formal portraits of little women with their tiny, well-dressed doppelgangers.
Scarlet Johanson by Tim Walker
This is frightening and fantastic at the same time.
Remember how several months ago I mentioned that a lady was fixing up a Samantha for me? Well, she’s finally here!!

(That’s just a glare from the lighting on the eyebrow, it’s not faded or anything.)

When I met up with the woman, she actually had two Samanthas for me to pick from. This one, and one slightly newer (though still Pleasant) Sam. She has silkier hair, but it wasn’t so curly (in fact, I wouldn’t even call it curly. It was barely wavy.) She was slightly newer, as her neckstamp was smaller. However, she did have a slightly nicer complexion-rosy cheeks and lips. But, I went with this one. I tend to prefer AGs with less makeup anyway (ha, try finding one like that these days.) Anyway, I think my Sam is very lovely, and I’m really glad I finally have a Samantha =P
